JobTread integration
Every call, on the job it belongs to.
You already keep one timeline per customer in JobTread — proposals, invoices, photos, daily logs. A phone call that lives somewhere else is a second place to look, and a second place nobody looks twice. So 247 Reception writes the call into JobTread itself: on the right job, with the transcript and the recording attached, before you have put the tools down.
Included on every plan. No extra phone number, nothing to install on the JobTread side.
What happens when someone rings
Five steps, in order, from the phone ringing to the comment being on the job.
The call is answered and written up
The receptionist takes the call as it always does — greets them in your business name, answers what it can, and takes the name, number and reason. When the call ends it writes a summary, pulls out the follow-ups, and keeps the full transcript and recording.
The caller is matched to your JobTread customers
The number is checked against the people in your JobTread organization — both the contacts you invited, who carry a number on the user behind them, and the ones we created ourselves on an earlier call, whose number sits in a custom field instead. Both are checked in a single request, and the richer record wins.
The right job is chosen from what they said
If the customer has one open job there is nothing to disambiguate. If they have several, the address they confirmed on the call decides it, and the match has to be unique — a house number and a street word, not either on its own.
A comment lands on the job
Titled with the caller and the time, opening with the direction and duration, then the summary, the outcome, the follow-ups and the full transcript. The recording is attached as an audio file you can play without leaving JobTread.
You get told, once it is actually there
A push notification naming the job, sent after the comment is on the record rather than before. Being told a lead has landed and then finding an empty job list is the one order worth avoiding.
What you actually see in JobTread
One comment on the job, written the way you would have written it if you had taken the call yourself.

Assistant: Good evening, you have reached…
Caller: It is still coming out under the cupboard —
Internal only — not visible in the customer portal
Example of a call written into JobTread — illustrative
Connecting it
Two minutes, once. Nothing is installed on the JobTread side.
1. Open Settings in your 247 Reception dashboard
The JobTread panel is near the bottom, under the integrations.
2. Authorise, or paste a grant key
Connecting takes you to JobTread to approve the access, and you come straight back. If your organization prefers to issue a grant key by hand, paste it in with the organization ID instead — both routes end up in the same place.
3. Pick the organization, if you have more than one
Accounts with several organizations get asked which one to write into, rather than having one picked for them.
4. Decide about new leads
One switch: should a caller with no matching customer get a job opened for them, or should the call be filed against your organization for you to sort out? Off is the cautious choice and you can change it whenever you like.
The next call after that is already in JobTread. There is nothing to run afterwards.
The awkward questions
What it does when it is unsure, what it will not touch, and what it costs.
- What if it cannot tell which job the call is about?
- It files on the customer's account instead and writes the reason into the comment, so you can see why it stopped short. Two jobs that both look like the spoken address means it genuinely does not know, and guessing would put a customer's complaint on the wrong project.
- What if the number is not one of your customers?
- The call is filed against your organization rather than dropped. You still get the summary, the transcript and the recording, and you can see the number is one worth adding to a customer record.
- Can the customer see the recording in their portal?
- No. Call comments are posted internal-only — not visible to customer roles or vendor roles. Somebody with portal access should never open their own job and find a recording of themselves being qualified.
- Does a new caller really get a job opened automatically?
- Only if you switch it on, and you can switch it off from the same settings panel. When it is on, a caller with no match gets an account, a contact, a location and a job built from what they said, and the comment says in plain words that the job was opened from this call and should be checked. The job name is the street line, because that is what you would have typed.
- What happens to calls from before I connected it?
- Nothing. The integration writes calls forward from the moment you connect — it does not backfill history into your JobTread account, and it never edits or removes anything that was already there. The only thing it creates is comments, and jobs when you have asked it to.
- What if JobTread is down, or slow?
- The call is still answered, still billed correctly, still recorded, and still in your 247 Reception dashboard. The JobTread write is deliberately best-effort and on a timeout: it is not allowed to delay or fail the call handling. If it does fail you have lost a copy, not the record.
- Does it cost extra?
- No. It is part of every plan, including the 7-day trial. There is no third phone number to rent and no middleman service in between — the calls come from the numbers we already run for you.
- Does it handle texts too?
- Yes, matched the same way and posted to the same record, so a customer's calls and texts read as one history instead of two systems you cross-reference by hand.
Stop copying calls into JobTread by hand.
10 free minutes and 7 days to decide. Connect JobTread on the first day and judge it on your own calls — that is the only test that settles it.
No card required — you only pay if you keep it. Or book a slot and watch it handle an awkward caller, live.
